Even with a verified online booking directly through the Clarion Choice Privileges site, I was turned away because of my local residency. I sought a temporary stay while my house was being repainted, yet the hotel waited until my arrival to advise of this policy, despite seeing my home address during the initial reservation on the Choice Hotel site. This practice of accepting a reservation and then denying service is both deceptive and unprofessional. Such exclusionary behavior feels unfairly targeted toward specific community members and lacks transparency. Treating paying customers with such disregard is absolutely shameful and unacceptable. To make matters worse, the staff member ("Maria") who informed me of this policy was extremely rude.
